Create your very own dream wardrobe by taking cues from impressive closets on the big screen
The silver screen has long served both design and sartorial inspiration in spades, and there’s no better combination between fashion and decor than the seriously covetable closets that have appeared on-screen over the years.
Films like Matthew Vaughn’s Kingsman series as well as The Great Gatsby have offered a peek at well-organised suit rooms that are fully tailored to one’s needs. These walk-in closets not only offer storage for clothes, but also emit a luxurious feel with their immaculate style.
With the third instalment of the blockbuster franchise The King’s Man in cinemas this December, it's no time better than the present to take a cue from these seriously stylish suit rooms. Here, we highlight some inspiring spaces featured in the films Kingsman, The Great Gatsby, and Fifty Shades of Grey.

1. The King's Man

The gentleman spies from Kingsman movie franchise are known to be some of the most best-dressed British characters that’ll give James Bond a run for his money. When Eggsy (Taron Egerton) is first introduced to the tailor shop in Savile Row—the organisation’s front for their base—his attention is immediately captured by the stunning spy closet.

While typical closets are unlikely to offer such advanced gadgets and weaponry, it’s easy to recreate the wardrobe’s luxurious flair in your closet. Opt for a shelving display that showcases your favourite pairs of shoes or watches specifically, in particular if you have a large collection. Poliform’s Fitted wardrobe, designed by Italian architect Rodolfo Dordoni, features a thin structure that allows for an expansive and enhanced display of the clothes hanging within.
Organise smaller trinkets with decorative trays and boxes; the royal blue Kingsman collection from Portuguese porcelain manufacturer Vista Alegre, developed exclusively for the upcoming third instalment of the blockbuster franchise The King’s Man, will make a particularly good fit.

And Jay Gatsby’s stunning two-storey closet, located in his bedroom through a spiral staircase, is a remarkable design feat in its own right. Channeling an art deco spirit with beautiful hardwood panels and padded walls, the well-organised wardrobe holds all of Gatsby’s neatly folded clothes and treasured accessories.

Choose a wardrobe display that exudes the same spirit with a sleek style like the Palo Alto wardrobe system from Italian brand Misuraemme. The masculine walk-in wardrobe features tailored suits set against a wardrobe with rich wood and cool lighting, creating a sense of timelessness and understated elegance.
