Getting to Girdwood

Girdwood is situated approximately 45 minutes south of Anchorage (Alaska’s largest city). You can expect longer driving times in the winter due to weather conditions and avalanche maintenance. The drive to Girdwood follows the Seward Highway which winds itself down the Turnagain Arm. A truly beautiful drive.

Anchorage is home to Ted Stevens International Airport which is the main entry into Alaska. Alaskan Airlines is usually the best airline to fly in on.
